The first of Tsui Hark’s renowned epic series of films, Once Upon a Time in China is the film that defined Jet Li as an action superstar destined for the international stage, with his portrayal of the legendary Chinese folk hero Wong Fei Hung. Set in late 19th century China, the increasing Western presence in the area begins to escalate hostilities between Chinese and Western forces. Under the request of the Black Flag Army, martial artist Wong Fei Hung begins to recruit and train a militia of kung fu warriors to help protect the town. Meanwhile, Leung Fun (Yuen Biao) and his master Yim (Yen Shi Kwan), begin to collude with the infamous local gang Sha Ho to oppose Wong and his militia. In order to execute their plans, the Sha Ho and Yim assist Western forces in a dastardly plot of their own, forcing Wong and Leung Fu to confront the realities of a Western presence in Asia.

While attending a medical convention, Wong Fei Hung befriends the like minded, Dr. Sun Yat Sen (Zhang Tie Lin), a Chinese revolutionary rebel fighting\ for China to become a Republic. Impeding the rebel cause is General Lan (Donnie Yen), an official of the Imperial government, which opposes Sun’s ideas of revolution. Making matters worse are the frequent attacks by the White Lotus Society, an extreme nationalist cult intent on removing Western influences in China by any means necessary.

When the government begins to collude with the White Lotus Society to threaten the rebel cause, Wong must once again rise as the champion of the people, and fight the imposing threat on Dr. Sun’s revolution.

The story of martial arts folk hero Wong Fei Hung continues, as Jet Li reprises his role for the third film in the epic Once Upon a Time in China series.

Visiting his father in Beijing, just as the Empress calls for a national King Lion Competition, Wong Fei Hung finds a rival in Leung Fun (Max Mok) and his formidable fighter, Club Foot (Xiong Xin Xin ), who had previously attacked his father. Meanwhile, Wong also faces a possible romantic rival for Aunt Yee’s (Rosamund Kwan) affection in a Russian diplomat whom she knew back in school. However when a plot to assassinate the Governor at the lion dance competition is uncovered by Aunt Yee, Wong must now enter the competition and use his skill to save the Governor and defeat Leung Fun.

Director Tsui Hark takes the reigns from John Woo in a prequel to the much revered film series with A Better Tomorrow III.

Set during the Vietnam War, Mark (Chow Yun Fat) travels to Saigon to join his cousin Mun (Tony Leung Ka Fai), just as he gets out of jail. Using a contact in the Vietnamese army, the two soon start trafficking black market weapons with a beautiful female assassin named Kit (Anita Mui).

After a deal goes horribly wrong, they all flee to Hong Kong where Kit’s feelings for Mark grow. However, Mark is aware of Mun’s strong feelings for Kit, leaving the three in a complicated love triangle.  Making matters worse is the return of Kit’s former lover Ho, a crime boss who doesn’t take too kindly to Mark and Mun’s advances on Kit. After attempting to the kill the two cousins, a new war begins between Mark, Mun, and their new adversary, Ho.

With a stellar cast and breathtaking visual effects, Tsui Hark’s offbeat sci-fi fantasy film, Zu: Warriors from the Magic Mountain completely breaks away from the style of traditional wuxia films before it.

Combining an all-star cast in a majestic setting, All the Wrong Clues marks Tsui Hark's very first box office hit. Winning 'Best Director' at the Golden Horse Film Festival, the film set him on the path to becoming one of Hong Kong's most influential filmmakers.
 
Upon his release from jail, Godfather Capone (Karl Maka), is determined to have his revenge on Champ (George Lam), a mild-mannered, small time private eye who was responsible for Capone's incarceration. Capone sends the eccentric killer Popeye (Eric Tsang) after Champ, but he has an ally in Police Chief Robin (Teddy Robin), who decides to protect Champ from Capone's encroaching henchmen by taking him into custody.
 
However when Capone's rival Old Woo, a crime boss from Shanghai, bails Champ out of jail in order to use him as bait against Capone, the Police Chief must make an extremely risky move and bring together the heads of the 'Four Families' to try and prevent a bloody massacre.

Set against the backdrop of the Democratic Revolution of China, Peking Opera Blues follows the story of three distinctly different women coping with a turbulent time in China's history, and the adventure they endure together.

Tsao Wan (Brigitte Lin) is the daughter of the warlord General Tsao (Kenneth Tsang), and secretly a Chinese revolutionary fighting against her father. Sheung Hung (Cherie Chung) is a singer and petty thief chasing down a box of jewelry. Bai Nui (Sally Yeh) is the daughter of the manager of the Beijing Opera theater, harbouring dreams of being an actress.
 
As the lives of these three mismatched characters intertwine, their exploits will eventually prevent the fall of democracy and help dictate the future of China.
 

Cult director Tsui Hark takes the directing chair for the third chapter of the Aces Go Places series, with Sam Hui returning as King Kong, master thief extraordinaire.

While vacationing in Paris, King Kong is commissioned by a British agent to retrieve the crown jewels, which are hidden in a Hong Kong police station. This proves problematic as it means King Kong will have to work against his buddy and police officer Baldy (Karl Maka), who is preoccupied with his new life as a father with wife Nancy (Sylvia Chang).

As King Kong becomes wise to the faux agent's true intentions, he must once again team up with Baldy and Nancy to stop him from stealing the priceless jewels.
